Senator John McCain Dead at Age 81.

One final tip of the hat as a show of respect to Arizona Senator John McCain… it was less than a week ago when the announcement was made that the senator would stop his Glioblastoma cancer therapy. Less than 48 hours after the announcement the inevitable, and yet still so shocking, conclusion was realized as John McCain passed away.
No words can communicate my sympathies for his family or convey the loss that this state and our country experiences this week as we try to move forward. Senator McCain and I may have found ourselves on opposite ends of the debate on many occasions, I found some of his politics and decisions to be in direct opposition to my own and I was a very vocal critic—today none of that changes, but neither does my overwhelming respect for his service to the country in both the military and public service as a senator for more than three decades.
We all face the reaper sooner or later, I just hope I’ll go down fighting with the same class and bravery that Senator McCain demonstrated in his final days. I also do not believe I am out of line when I say with a resounding voice, Fuck Cancer.
