Finally some bipartisanship in congress as Senator John McCain (R-AZ) and Byron Dorgan (D-ND) eagerly draft legislation to jump down the throat of big-supplements. Certainly we know the dangers of Vitamins, minerals and natural extracts such as fish oil. It’s a good thing we have these two mavericks on the side of medicine and pharmaceutical companies to protect us from taking too much Potassium or Vitamin C.
ESPN suspends two radio hosts for two completely different–and frivolous–reasons. Evidently you can express your opinion provided that it is the correct one.
Somehow we delved into the TV Themes library and remembered that the “NBA on NBC” theme was longer than even the most pretentious Dream Theater album. Of course there wouldn’t be a theme tangent on old TV shows if we didn’t play the full version of WKRP in Cincinnati. Now I know why this show was an hour and forty minutes long.
A 47-year-old man whom police describe as a professional seducer of women was arrested for hiding a very important detail from the 26 women (or so) that he slept with over the past six years… obviously if he was arrested it must have been pretty important.
A North Carolina Japanese restaurant has had enough of one particular customer and is now refusing her service due to her poor tipping. The woman is circulating a petition to boycott the establishment and has collected nearly 300 signatures. Obviously there are many issues/questions with this story; among those being, who eats at a Japanese restaurant in North Carolina?
2002 court case: “But your honor, my Toyota really did accelerate randomly, it wasn’t my fault!” Judge & Jury: “Sure it wasn’t… See ya in eight years buddy!”
…(8 years passes and man is released from jail)…
State: “Hey there, ya know… about that accelerating Toyota issue, yeah it turns out you weren’t full of crap after all… um sorry, but we have some lovely gifts for you”. How many lawyers are burning up the phone lines to get a hold of this guy?
