The biggest event in soccer has arrived, every four years fans across the globe feel a sense of nationalism and pride as their respective nations are represented in the World Cup. Following the pomp and circumstance, the buildup, hype and anticipation the first game is underway between host nation South Africa and Mexico. When the dust settled in this mono-e-mono showdown of two of the epic titans of the soccer universe the winner was… um… NO ONE????? Apparently the biggest event in soccer and it can end in a tie. Okay, well back to the original thesis then.. soccer sucks. You may now return to ignoring World Cup competition.
South Carolina has become the laughing stock of the political world. Following the Democratic primary Tuesday, Alvin Greene was the winner with nearly 60 percent of the vote. Aside from allegations of sexual assault, the unemployed 58-year-old man seems a bit too… green for politics.
